Free Symphonic Concert: July 16 at 11AM
Jul 12, 2009The Castleton Festival is pleased to announce an addition to its inaugural season: a free symphonic concert with the Festival Orchestra at 11:00am on Thursday, July 16, at the Festival Tent. Ten young conductors from around the world, participants in the Lorin Maazel Master Classes with Rolex as the Founding Partner, will offer a program of orchestral and operatic favorites. The conductors have been in residence at the Festival working with Maestro Maazel over the last two weeks. Four of the Festival’s resident singers will join in the program. No tickets or reservations are required. Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is adjacent to the Festival Tent off of Hope Hill Road.
